Thats at least one night in each city.
Of course theres another list of places I drove through, changed planes in, or just stopped for a bite.
That adds up to;
too many hours on the tour bus, lots of take-offs and landings, and a plethora of rental cars, kilometres, hotel rooms, and continental breakfasts.

I worked with some really cool people in 2008 too. I met some great new friends and had some amazing times.
All in all I think the list looks like this:
Steve Earle
Allison Moorer
Drake Bell
Gavin Degraw
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
The Hives
The Kids in The Hall
The Police
AC/DC
Jay-Z
John Legend
Dweezil Zappa
Neil Young
Celine Dion
Spice Girls
Cheech and Chong
Blue Rodeo

Again I’m sure I missed a couple but then theres always next year…
Tomorrow I’m off to London for the big rock show. last time I played on New Year’s Eve was in New York City 2001/02. This should be fun!
Have a safe and happy New Year!

A week or so ago I checked in ~$1million of AC/DC merch at Toronto’s Skydome AKA The Rogers Centre. We sold over $850k. Not bad for a night’s work.
Then it was off to Ottawa for the Celine Dion show at Scotiabank Centre. She doesn’t sell quite as well as AC/DC…
I took a few pics of different stages of the stage. Forgive the cell phone quality…

Evolution…
by Drygioni on Nov.17, 2008, under Me
…of myself.
I look at myself as someone who is constantly evolving. Inside and out. Part of that evolution is body modification. We all start this life as blank canvases. Some choose to dress that canvas with fancy clothing, jewelery or make-up. Some choose to surgically alter themselves both cosmetically and physically. Some choose nothing. I chose tattooing.
I look upon my time as a “plainskin” as a time where I was quite literally uncomfortable in my own skin. My body art makes me happy about myself. Plain and simple. I choose to decorate my body with images of things that I hold dear. Family, music, comedy and just the love of art.
Here is an example of some of my art.

This is my family coat of arms and tartan. The side of my family that I am very close to. Sinclair. This is over 25 hours of tattooing (not all in a row of course - heh)

Saint Michael. This is not a religious icon for me so much as it is a family one. While I am not religious in any way, I appreciate the history and the artwork. This image of St Mike was taken from a church built by my family in the mid 1400s. Rosslyn Chapel. I have visited the village or Roslin a number of times over the years. I took a high res photo of my favorite stained glass window in the chapel. The image I have tattooed on my right forearm is the detail of that window.
This is an example of my love of medieval history and art. (Heck why do you think I’m such a WoW addict?) The sea of blood, tall ship and dragon are an amalgam of several ideas my tattoo artist and I came up with. This fits in my “family” arm as well. My Grandfather James Sinclair had a similar tall ship tattooed on his arm. All be it His was a little more rudimentary, done during WWII while in the Navy. Again…evolution…
.
I have a few themes going down my left arm. Simply its entertainment. Its sort of a musical, aquatic
comedic thing there. (trust me, in my head it makes sense) Shown here is my “Simpsons” bit. Aquatic themes have been popular in tattooing for centuries. The Japanese Koi being one of the most popular. I married this theme with the twist of adding fish from the TV show I grew up loving so very much. The “Hellfish Koi”, “Blinky” and “General Sherman” from Catfish Lake. Topped off with the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant.
My left appendage also holds my silliest tattoo to date. The finger moustache. I can proudly say mine was one of the 1st 3 in existance (along with 2 of my equally “silly” friends.) Its since gained a bit of popularity on the internet.

This work in progress on my back is 20 hours in. I have a collection of Grand Prix art. This event painting from the 1933 Grand Prix of Monaco is among my favorites. It’s date April 23rd is also by coincidence my wife’s birthday. Weird eh?
I could go on with my arms and legs and chest but I simply dont have enough good pictures. Maybe someday good reader. As they say…watch this space.

WOTLK is go?
by Drygioni on Nov.13, 2008, under Gaming
I sit here in my palatial living room with two very small dogs beside me. I have a list of things to do today including buy and install WOTLK. Priorities Michael. First off my Saab is being serviced thus I am down to one car. The wife’s Merc. Because of this I will need to take the good lady wife into work today.  She works at 11:30. Already my day and WOTLK are delayed. (see where this is going? ) So once I get out and about Its straight to the United States of America. Why? because the WOTLK will be cheaper and in more abundance than here in Snowy Canada? No good reader, I have work to do. Cheech and Chong are on tour and I look after their merch. I need to go and prepare their stuff for the next few shows. Once my work is finished I do plan on reaping the benefits of the US economy and snatching up a cheaper copy of WOTLK in Buffalo.
Here’s my quandry. I woke up with a movie somehow magically on my hard drive. For safety sake lets call it “Dumbo” In this movie Dumbo is a secret agent and seeks revenge for the death of his love by the hands of a ruthless consortium of billionaires. I really want to watch this film. Perhaps during the install process? God I’m a genius!! These freakin games take ages to install. OK quandry averted. Please lower the terror threat level Mr Bush, I do not plan on assaulting your lovely counrty.
So I shall go pick up the wife, watch double oh something, and install the little bit of cyberspace that will suck my life away for the next good while.
See you all in the Fjords!
